The easiest way to order is first to email – or phone us (between 10am and 5pm, Wednesday to Saturday). We accept Visa, Mastercard and Switch/Maestro. Or you can send us a cheque payable to ÉPOQUE. (All orders, prior to dispatch, will need to be completed with full details of the your address, telephone numbers and e-mail.) Please have the product reference number ready - and your card details – when you call.

All prices in our shop and on our website include 17.5% VAT. Payment must be made in full whether goods are being collected immediately or delivered to you. The delivery charge must also be settled in full prior to delivery.

Deliveries are made either by ÉPOQUE or by a 3rd party specialist furniture courier. Days and times for delivery are estimates only and shall not be made ‘of the essence’; we aim to be as accurate as we can with these delivery estimates but they are not binding. During busy periods, there may be delays over which we have no control and, please, we ask you to be patient should unforeseen delays occur.

We operate our own ÉPOQUE delivery service, where possible, as well as out-sourcing deliveries to our specialists. We use Mission Impossible (www.micouriers.co.uk) for more long distance drops.

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE INTERNATIONAL service
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE are prepared to ship all over the world. Depending on your location, International delivery takes between 7 - 28 working days. But, please, call or email us before placing your order.

Please note: ÉPOQUE is unable to calculate local customs and sales tax with all international deliveries. You will be notified by your local customs authority once your order has reached your country. They will accurately calculate the total amount of customs and sales tax which is to be paid before you may receive your goods.

Deliveries are only ever made by one delivery person who is not insured or authorised to deliver anywhere other than to the threshold of your property. Please ensure that help and appropriate equipment is on hand to allow delivery. It is your responsibility to arrange for the goods to be arranged within the property, not the responsibility of ÉPOQUE drivers or 3rd party couriers. We shall only take responsibility for assembly when delivering an original antique armoire or antique bed, for which there will be a modest charge.

Your signature will be required upon delivery to say that your goods have been received in good order and in full. If there is not sufficient time to check goods for damage we ask that you inform us within 24 hours of any such damage so we can resolve the problem.

Remember: it’s your responsibility to ensure that your ordered goods fit in your home and that there’s no restricted access. ÉPOQUE can’t allow refunds for goods that can’t fit into the home or can’t be delivered due to access, unsuitability or any fault of the customer. What's more, we can’t refund goods simply because they don’t match, suit or fit or because they are unsuitable to the position the customer envisaged. Each piece is ordered by you in good faith and we ask all our customers to check their measurements and access to avoid disappointment.

Subject to the other provisions of these conditions, ÉPOQUE shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss (all three of which terms include, without limitation, pure economic loss, loss of profits, loss of business, depletion of goodwill and similar loss), costs, damages, charges or expenses caused directly or indirectly by any delay in the delivery, nor shall any delay entitle the customer to terminate or rescind the contract, unless such delay exceeds 180 days.

If for any reason the customer fails to accept delivery of any of the goods when they are delivered or ÉPOQUE is unable to deliver the goods on time (because the customer has not provided appropriate access, instructions, documents, licences or authorisations) risk in the goods shall pass to the customer (including for loss or damage caused by ÉPOQUE’s negligence); the goods shall be deemed to have been delivered; and ÉPOQUE may, but need not, store the goods until delivery, and if it does provide such storage, the customer shall be liable for all related costs and expenses (including, without limitation, storage and insurance) at a cost of £20 per fortnight.

Please note: the goods are at your risk from the time of delivery or attempted delivery.

returns & refunds
We have every confidence in our goods; however, for all purchases/orders made at a distance (i.e over the phone or by e-mail), if you are dissatisfied with your purchase you are entitled to return it to us for a refund or replacement not later than 7 working days (UK), 14 day (international) of receiving the goods. In such event you will be liable to pay for the cost of returning the goods: ÉPOQUE cannot refund shipping and/or delivery charges whether they be within the UK or abroad. We ask that all International customers are aware that all international customs duties and sales taxes can not be refunded.

The goods must be returned to ÉPOQUE in the condition they were delivered in before a full refund is issued.

In the event of goods arriving damaged, ÉPOQUE will refund any damages reported within 24 hours of delivery. ÉPOQUE will then aim either to repair or replace the damaged item immediately or, if this is not possible, to give a full refund.

Refunds will not be given for any purchases in our shop or any specialist orders.

All photos and prices are presented in good faith; all prices are correct at time of publication, inclusive of VAT at the current rate; we reserve the right to increase prices.

Every effort has been taken to ensure descriptions, measurements, specifications and photographic reproductions are accurate.

We have taken great pains to skillfully create a wholly authenticated effect on some of our goods. So please be aware that any stains, cracks and chipped paint is part of the desired effect and should not be considered a defect. Similarly, because the furniture is antique or painted vintage, cracks and chips may appear in time but this is quite normal for wood furniture and should enhance the appearance.

The title of the goods passes to you at time of payment of all sums which are or become due; until such time, ÉPOQUE retains full legal and equitable right to the goods.

liabilities
All warranties, conditions and other terms implied by statute or common law (save for the conditions implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979) are, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excluded from the contract.

Nothing in these conditions excludes or limits the liability of ÉPOQUE: for death or personal injury caused by ÉPOQUE’s negligence; or under section 2(3), Consumer Protection Act 1987; or for any matter which it would be illegal for ÉPOQUE to exclude or attempt to exclude its liability; or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to the above, ÉPOQUE’s total liability in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of the contract shall be limited to the contract price; and ÉPOQUE shall not be liable to the customer for any pure economic loss, loss of profit, loss of business, depletion of goodwill or otherwise, in each case whether direct, indirect or consequential, or any claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (howsoever caused) which arise out of or in connection with the contract.

force majeure
ÉPOQUE reserves the right to defer the date of delivery or to cancel the contract (without liability to the customer) if it is prevented from or delayed in the carrying on of its business due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of ÉPOQUE.
